Kenninspring

The word kennin, in the Scottish language, means to know, understand, or perceive.

The word spring refers to a season of new growth and light,
a source of fresh water flowing to the surface from within the earth,
and a coiled wire that can regain its original shape after being compressed.

is the vision of designer Giovanna Whyte,  whose work includes website and print design, writing, systems development, and education.

“I am not a scientist or mathematician. I studied the power of communication; the ability of stories to foster understanding and the importance of empathy to the success of a group. But I’ve always had a fascination for discovery and a visceral need to understand how everything works.”

We believe in evidence-based decision making, unfettered education, and humanity’s capacity for innovation, kindness, and making the world a better place.

Through our products, we wish to share our appreciation of the beauty inherent in scientific and mathematical concepts, promote respect for science, and show our hope in and optimism for innovations in engineering and technology. Through our services, we wish to help people and the planet thrive.
